Daniel joined the National Office in March 2017. He serves as the editor-in-chief of SWIMMER magazine and leads USMS's internal and external communications, content marketing, and social media strategies in addition to building and editing pages on USMS's website.

Daniel received a bachelor's degree in English from Rollins College, where he swam for four years, and a master's degree in journalism from the University of Missouri, where he competed on the school’s club team. Prior to joining the National Office, Daniel covered Southeastern Conference athletics, Major League Baseball, and the NFL for a number of newspapers and websites across the country, including The Kansas City Star, MLB.com, and USA Today. He's also been published by The New York Times and ESPN.

He swam competitively for 18 years and now swims with the Sarasota Sharks Masters and bikes to stay in shape. In his spare time, Daniel enjoys reading and spending time with his dogs Baxter and Izzy.
