Redondo Dolphin Club Swim Team

We are an open water ONLY swim team and do not have access to a pool. We swim in the Pacific Ocean. Members joining should be experienced open water swimmers, or not afraid and interested in learning about ocean swimming. We have swimmers of every pace and you do not need to be fast to join our team. We swim all year round. Some of our members wear wetsuits and others swim "skins" without wetsuits even in winter. We are based in Redondo Beach and also swim at nearby beaches. Many of our members are also triathletes. When they are offered, we also compete in local swim meets.
Our team no longer has access to a pool but many of us swim laps at various community pools, in addition to our ocean swims.

Practice Information

Ocean workouts vary weekly and are for registered members only, and those on official trial memberships. Our practices generally begin between the hours of 9:00AM- 5:30PM, Tuesday -Saturday. Most active members of our team are either self employed, students, teachers, retired, or have flexible schedules.
