USMS Top 10

Each year, U.S. Masters Swimming publishes a list of the Top 10 times that have been swum in every individual and relay event for each of the three pool courses.

• Please note: Per rule 105.1.2, the 2023 - 2024 24 USMS Top Ten short course yards season (SCY) will be extended to include times from 2024 USMS Spring Nationals. The 2023 - 2024 season will end June 24 rather than May 31. 
• Please note: the 2020 - 2021 SCY Top Ten season includes swims between June 1 - May 31. The 2021 - 2022 SCY Top Ten season started June 1, and will include swims from both the 2021 USMS Short Course National Championship and 2022 USMS Spring National Championship. The 2020-21 LCM Top Ten season (usually Oct. 1 - Sept. 30) was extended to Oct, 10, 2021 to include swims from the 2021 USMS Long Course National Championship. The 2021-22 LCM Top Ten season started Oct. 11, 2021 and will include 2022 USMS Summer Nationals. (last updated 1/7/2022).

Procedures for Top 10 submissions

For USMS sanctioned meets the meet director should send the meet results to their LMSC Top 10 person.  Requested splits should also be included.   Pool measurements are required for pools with bulkheads or pools that have not been previously certified through USMS or USA Swimming.

For USMS swimmers that participate in sanctioned USA meets or other USMS recognized meets, the swimmer is responsible for submitting their times to their LMSC Top 10 person and for providing the documentation, including pool measurement verification if necessary.

For USMS swimmers that participate in USMS recognized meets held outside the USA, the swimmer is responsible for submitting their times to their LMSC Top 10 person and providing the appropriate documentation.
